Average Days to Payment, December 2014 - May 2015

June 15, 2015 by Catherine Montgomery

Want to know how fast claims administrators pay medical bills for workers’ compensation patients? Look at the average days to payment for the past six months for the top 30 claims administrators.

Here's the latest data on average days to payment for the 30 work comp claims administrators to which DaisyBill submits the most bills. Today we post data that spans the six months from 12/1/2014-5/31/2015.

For the top 30 claims administrators, the average days to payment for the bills we submit was less than 24 working days. Keep in mind that this time span  includes the traditionally slower Christmas and New Year’s holiday seasons.

The three fastest paying claims administrators for work comp medical bills are Liberty Mutual, Broadspire, and The Zenith. Each averaged only 11 days payment.

We post to over 350 claims administrators, so contact us if you want to know the average payment time for a claims administrator not listed below.

The table represents the average number of days from submission of a bill until receipt of the explanation of review (EOR), and takes into account EORs that we received during the time period 12/1/2014-5/31/2015.
