2024 CA OMFS Updates

For dates of service on or after February 15, 2024, new rules and reimbursements will apply to the Physician and Non-Physician Practitioner portion of the OMFS.

• Telehealth billing, including place of service requirements and codes newly allowed and disallowed
• Changes to reimbursement rates for California-specific ‘WC’ codes (e.g., WC002 for PR-2 reports)
• An increase in the Conversion Factor used to calculate Physician Fee Schedule reimbursements

We’ll also provide guidance, best practices, and specific appeal language providers can use when disputing incorrect payment denials or adjustments.
