ASSH Conference Details

The 81st ASSH Annual Meeting will take place at:

John B. Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center
900 Boylston St
Boston, MA 02115

Attendees can register here.

With hand injuries accounting for a significant share of comp claims across multiple industries, hand surgeons play a critical role in workers’ health. Sessions that may be of particular interest to providers who treat injured workers include (but are definitely not limited to):

  • PRE06: How We Get Paid: Maximizing Efficiency and Revenue in Your Practice: A four-hour pre-course (on September 16, the day before the conference actually begins) focused on practice revenue and billing efficiency (requires separate registration).
  • Evidence-to-Impact 01: Practice Management: Evidence-to-Impact sessions combine peer-reviewed papers and expert-led presentations to explore current concepts, starting with this session looking at administrative challenges.
  • POST02: Coding: A half-day workshop on surgical coding and Revenue Cycle Management (requires separate registration).
  • Current Concepts & Controversies 25: Value-Based Care and Hand Surgery: Concepts, Real-World Models, and Reimbursement Pathways: A session examining the impact of “VBC” on surgical subspecialities like hand surgery, including effects on outcome measurement and financial risk.

The full session list, comprising many, many valuable lessons, is available on the ASSH Annual Meeting site.

Catherine and Danielle will be at Booth #1532 throughout the conference.

Stop by to talk billing compliance, payment disputes, and what our data show about the administrative pitfalls of taking on comp patients.

We’re also happy to show providers how our comp-specific electronic billing tech and proprietary network of direct clearinghouse connections streamline revenue management, resulting in fewer errors, faster payments, and less overall hassle.

Practices that treat injured workers’ hand injuries face no shortage of administrative challenges. Understanding the billing and payment processes (and having technology that automates much of the work) can help keep comp financially viable. We’ll see you in Boston.
