Fee Alert: Another DWC Update -- DMEPOS Fee Schedule

On July 1, 2016, the Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) adjusted the Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics, and Supplies (DMEPOS) section of the Official Medical Fee Schedule (OMFS). The order reflects third quarter changes in the Medicare payment system, as required by Labor Code section 5307.1
- Affects 744 of the +2,500 DMEPOS codes, with most of the changes resulting in decreased reimbursements.
- Effective for services on or after July 1, 2016.
- Includes all modifications named in Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services Change Request (CR) number 9642.
