Since 2011, daisyBill has worked to provide solid workers’ comp billing technology, advocate for the rights of providers and injured workers, call out payer misbehavior, and highlight systemic flaws that deter doctors from treating injured workers.
In response, we’ve received both support and criticism. However, our secret plan to bring about the downfall of insurance companies nationwide has remained under wraps — until now.
A commenter on the daisyNews blog recently alerted the public to our schemes, shining the light of truth and justice on our “false propaganda.”
Unfairly persecuted insurance companies, too long maligned by zealots who wish to impose appropriate care for injured workers and accurate reimbursement for providers, have a new champion.
Below, read this brave (but anonymous) soul’s manifesto in full, along with our commentary.
The explosive rebuttal came in response to our recent post on the County of Santa Clara, a claims administrator that deleted bills because the County did not have the provider’s tax information.
Readers are cautioned: the comment below is scathing. Do not read while standing, operating heavy machinery, or if you have a heart condition:
How this intrepid analyst deduced daisyBill’s true intentions is beyond our capacity to determine.
Undaunted by the fact that Santa Clara County is a public self-insured employer and not an insurance company (in fact, undaunted by any facts), this dogged reader connected the dots, put the puzzle pieces together, and strung miles of red yarn across (presumably) dozens of cork boards to arrive at the truth.
daisyNews is now forced to rethink our entire publishing schedule and consider the cancellation of several upcoming exposés, including:
As cover for our efforts to dismantle the insurance industry, daisyBill has a canny strategy: doing constructive work that benefits stakeholders across the workers’ comp space. Our efforts to throw online sleuths off our scent include:
With our true purpose exposed, we cannot know what will happen next. For now, we can only wait in our highly fortified undisclosed location deep underground, watching Fox, MSNBC, and hours of YouTube videos debunking the so-called “Round Earth” theory.
As any villain must admit when finally unmasked, we would’ve gotten away with it, too, if it weren’t for you meddling kids…

Are you sure the commenter didn't work for The County of Santa Clara, LOL. #KeepExposing
I will ask the writers to keep doing what they’re doing because it's clearly making a positive impact on the workers' comp system. Despite criticism, Your efforts have brought 5,900 providers your side. Congratulations on everything you've built so far. Keep it up!
Fox News and MSNBC on the same side? Now that's a conspiracy theory!
This made my day, sorry I could not stop laughing, who knows may be el cucuy, la llorona and el chupacabras are working along with Big Foot and the grey aliens, just kidding keep up the excellent work keeping all of us well informed and providing so much helpful information to get paid since insurance companies do their best not to do so.
Love it! Thanks for the smiles :)
Wow!! Some incredible sleuthing was finally able to drill down to your true intentions. 😂 But seriously, one would think that those whose problems you publish would take them as true learning experiences and reevaluate and revise their current methodologies.
I love your tongue and cheek approach to this ridiculous accusation.. This person certainly has issues, since I don't remember your taking sides with any political party or rhetoric of this nature, she certainly does. Thank you for keeping us aware of the games insurance companies play to undermine the purpose of the Workers Compensation system which is to assist the injured worker and employer in regards to alleged work injuries. There are rules, and why do they apply to the doctors and not the insurance companies. Anyway thanks for what you do.
Bahaha! I wonder if the commenter is feeling a little guilty themself?
You have outdone yourselves! I formally nominate Daisy Bill for a Medal of Valor for your tireless efforts to seek Justice within this crazy, matrix-glitching system we call CA Workers' Compensation, and for doing so with such grace, humor and intelligence.
From Daisy bill, I have only learned to follow the guidelines in LC and regulations to work more efficiently to avoid delays in payment. There is nothing biased about the webinars or OMFS calculator. If a code was invalid on the date service was rendered, it will not be allowed, and if more than max amount of units are entered, program will not allow it. Webinars keep insurance and providers only what is stated by law. When providers have misunderstood the law, Daisy bill has corrected them just the same as if it was defense.
Daisybill is the Bomb! As mentioned, they do it all for no cost for the fee calculator, insight and exposure to the corrupt insurance industry that always will try to deny payment. The latest denial we got after making payment on prior bills for our therapist was "the initial evaluation was outside the scope of our practice" so they denied payment for 97161. In hopes we would not appeal it. Wrong! SBR-1 was filed and they paid. But no payment until you have to pay more admin costs to get your payment. Conduent was the bill review company on this one. Keep up your dedicated work DaisyBill we need you!!!
Daisybill raises the bar in professionalism in worker's compensation with its advocacy and platform. DB does more to hold the industry accountable than the regulators themselves - what a sad commentary on the current state of affairs.
This is absolutely brilliant. Lol! Well thought, well said!
