With less than a year before electronic billing is mandatory for providers in New York State, now is the time to get the information and education necessary to stay compliant.
As a state-approved New York e-bill submission partner, we’re ready to help providers transition. Providers who want to learn the details of NY workers’ compensation can attend the upcoming Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) conference on October 18 in Albany.
The conference will offer multiple opportunities for providers to learn about compliance and best practices in the New York workers’ comp system, including opportunities for Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits.
Details below!
Since 2019, providers have sent over 128,000 e-bill submissions for the treatment of injured workers in New York. These pre-scrubbed submissions are 100% compliant, and include the required supporting documentation.
Additionally, the daisyWizard, which we offer as a standalone subscription tool, is fully programmed and up to date with the relevant workers’ comp fee schedules for New York State. Providers who are not yet e-billing can simply enter the relevant procedure codes, and get instant, accurate reimbursement calculations.
All providers must submit e-bills for injured workers’ treatment effective August 1, 2025. To comply with New York e-billing requirements, providers must choose one of eight currently approved ‘XML Submission Partners’ to deliver e-bills.
Undoubtedly, New York providers will have many questions and face many logistical and administrative challenges in making the switch to e-billing. We encourage providers to attend the WCB conference, and seek us out!
daisyBill representatives are happy to share our expertise with clients and non-clients alike.
