TX DWC “Boot Camp” Webinars Show Commitment to Providers

Treating injured workers in Texas? The Texas Division of Workers’ Compensation (TX DWC) wants to make sure you have the information and answers you need.

The next round of the agency’s excellent Provider Boot Camp begins February 24.

This 8-part live webinar and Q&A series is a streamlined, info-packed multi-day event that delivers on substance. Attendees get key information on how to stay compliant with state laws and regulations, obtain treatment authorization and correct reimbursement, resolve payment disputes, and more.

From experience, we can report that the Boot Camp is worth providers’ time, especially given the unique complexities of the Texas comp system (e.g., optional coverage, Health Care Networks, etc.).

Providers in many other states would benefit immensely from this kind of proactive outreach and support from its workers’ comp authorities. If you treat or are considering treating injured workers, don’t miss this!

Helpful Training for TX Workers’ Comp Providers

The TX DWC will host its 8-lesson “Health Care Provider Boot Camp” via Zoom beginning on February 24, 2026, and continuing through March 19.

Each session is from 12:00 to 1:30 PM Central time, and is separately registerable at the links below:

Each webinar includes time for Q&A, so attendees can get clarification on any of the details presented.  Attendees will also receive digital copies of the slide presentations for reference.

The Difference Leadership Makes

Workers’ comp is challenging in every state, with pitfalls that can drain time and resources and hurt a provider financially. Reliable information and guidance directly from the state is priceless in making workers’ comp a sustainable part of any practice.

For the TX DWC to put forth the time and effort to host these webinars is a service to providers, but also to injured workers, who in many places find it increasingly difficult to find providers willing to treat them.

To see what happens when a comp regulatory body takes the opposite approach, look to the West, where the California Division of Workers’ Compensation takes a (very) hands-off approach to enforcing payment laws, violates the law itself, and actively deletes critical information from providers’ view.

Thanks to the proactive efforts of the TX DWC, providers are informed, supported, and treated equitably. That’s a win for all stakeholders.
